This is Dynamite speaking...

Today, I woke up not feeling so well... nothing a bowl of oatmeal can't fix.  Sadly, I ran out of soy milk yesterday and I'm not a big fan of only using water in my oats.  I had to improvise. 





1/2 cup oats,  1/2 cup water,  1/2 cup Horizon's Organic chocolate milk,  Spoonful Dark Chocolate Dreams



I've recently discovered Spinning.  I love it!  This morning, I went spinning and was told I don't give myself enough credit for how strong I am; therefore, I had to crank up the resistance and the pace.  I was dying.  The trainer decided to name me "Dynamite" and continued pointing me out to go harder.  Needless to say, I got a great workout... probably the most intense workout that I've had in years.  She said she will expect to see me next week, and that she will!

Starting the day right

Okay, so I am completely obsessed with my oatmeal. For the past 7 or so months I have had oatmeal almost every morning. I have tried to eat other things for breakfast, but then my tummy rumbles an hour later. I was never really an oatmeal person before, but I was known to use the prepackaged "quick" oats every once in a while. Since making my own oatmeal everymorning, I have never and will never look back! For a while, I didn't even eat breakfast because it seemed to make me hungrier than if I didn't eat.  Now, I am full until lunch time!






1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup water  
1/2 cup soy milk
cinnamon
1T cinnamon raisin swirl peanutbutter

My first blog

I have wanted to start a blog for a couple of years now, but I never knew where to start! I'm having a really hard time committing to a name for the blog haha.

A little bit about Mary:
  • I've been a vegetarian for the past 2.5 years, and I love it.
  • I absolutely love sweet potatoes and oatmeal. (I haven't tried them together)
  • I'm a 19 year old college student that lives at home.
  • I'm studying to major in Chemistry...yuck.
  • I've always had a challenging relationship with food, whether it be eating too much or not eating enough.
  • I've recently become obsessed with peanutbutter. I currently only have 8 different types in my house... only because I've finished off a few jars this week.
  • I love music.
  • I always have so many things that I want to do, but I never can find the time to do them.
  • I love trying new foods.
